Two very distinct areas make up this kitchen: the functional prep and cooking area, tucked away and serviced by the island, and the beautiful freestanding larder unit which includes the integrated fridge and freezer.
The island needed to be a social area for guests so we designed a beautiful breakfast bar but added a real wow factor by producing it in solid oak, with a circular design and raised on a pedestal. This is very much a statement piece and it had to be built on site due to its size. The larder features a sliding spice and jar rack so that you can get to the dry goods store and drawers behind, The final piece, around the corner, was a bookcase that ties all the furniture together. We felt that utilising the space left by an old window to take a bespoke bookshelf would be a perfect addition to the house. The beauty of crafting all of our furniture completely bespoke is that you are never governed by standard sizes so every nook and cranny can become a feature.
The design team listened to us and made prompt revisions. Ordering was easy and stress free. The fitter was absolutely excellent and talked through any last minute decisions required.
